Tuesday, September 24th

It was a fast two-lane highway for 180kms (112 miles) across Estonia
from Tartu to Tallinn
Expansive views of fields and forests of pine & birch - Mindful of northern Wisconsin

Moose crossing warnings the entire way

Arrived before noon and found the apartment
Based on complete instructions & pictures from host
Akin to a treasure hunt
1.Park car in lot next to furniture store, take specifically labelled spot (pics provided)
2.Open padlock next to bike stand, extract key from lockbox
3.Enter front door and elevator door using same yellow fob
4.Proceed to 11th floor

View of Old Town Tallinn from our apartment
View of harbor from our apartment
View of sauna inside our apartment
5 minute walk to Old Town full of tourists and shops, but it's all good
Tallinn, a walled city, is made for wandering and just enjoying
A fun maze for getting lost inside the walls
2019 is Tallinn's 800th birth year - Based on the first written mention of the city in 1219
(a battle between the Danish kind and Livonian forces)
Didn't succumb to the tourist shops but sorely tempted

Bought a sweater outside the walls in an outdoor market
Movie and a pizza that evening
We saw Goldfinch - $10 for two tickets
Heavily discounted for seniors

Tomorrow we have the whole day in Tallinn
 Rain expected in the morning
Providing a leisurely start
Ahhhh
